Monday, 5/27/24 – Defender Session

***BEFORE STARTING ANY DRYFIRE TRAINING, DOUBLE & TRIPLE CHECK THAT YOUR GUNS & MAGAZINES ARE EMPTY. NO LIVE AMMO SHOULD BE IN YOUR TRAINING AREA.***

Pistol

  1. Trigger Control At Speed, 10 reps
  2. Draw (25y), 10 reps (Goal: 1.5 sec)
    • Draw to a simulated 25 yard target
    • Ensure you’re still looking at a small spot on the target
    • Draw with the same speed as a closer target; the extra time is to clean up the sight picture once the sights arrive on target
  3. Reload to SHO, 10 reps (Goal: 1.6 sec)
    • Perform a standard reload and switch to Strong Hand Only 
  4. El Presidente, 8 reps (Goal: 6.0 sec)

Rifle 

  1. Slow Fire Trigger Control (simulated 25 yards), 10 reps
  2. Ready-ups (Low), 10 reps (Goal: 0.8 sec)
  3. Reload Micro Drill 1, 10 reps (Goal: 0.8 sec)
    • Starting position is the same as a bolt-lock reload, on the buzzer press the magazine release, grab a fresh magazine from your pouch, and bring it up to the magwell entrance
  4. El Presidente, 8 reps (Goal: 7.5 sec)
