Thursday, 5/30/24 – Defender Session

***BEFORE STARTING ANY DRYFIRE TRAINING, DOUBLE & TRIPLE CHECK THAT YOUR GUNS & MAGAZINES ARE EMPTY. NO LIVE AMMO SHOULD BE IN YOUR TRAINING AREA.***

Pistol 

  1. Trigger Control At Speed (WHO), 10 reps
  2. Aim in from the low ready (WHO), 10 reps  (Goal: 1.0 sec)
  3. Reload to WHO, 10 Reps (Goal: 2.1 sec)
    • Perform a standard reload and switch to Weak Hand Only 
  4. Easy Exits & Entries, 10 reps
    • Setup: See the diagram above
    • Start in the left shooting position, on the buzzer engage the targets inside-to-out while moving out of the position, move to the right shooting position and shoot the targets outside-to-inside while rolling into the next position
    • Focus on smoothly rolling out of position and keeping the gun up and ready to shoot as you’re moving into the next position
    • Alternate starting from both shooting positions

Rifle

  1. Slow Fire Trigger Control, Kneeling (simulated 25 yards), 10 reps
  2. Ready-ups (High), 10 reps (Goal: 0.8 sec)
  3. Reloads, 5 reps (Goal: 2.5 sec)
  4. Easy Exits & Entries, 10 reps
