Friday, 5/31/24 – Defender Session

***BEFORE STARTING ANY DRYFIRE TRAINING, DOUBLE & TRIPLE CHECK THAT YOUR GUNS & MAGAZINES ARE EMPTY. NO LIVE AMMO SHOULD BE IN YOUR TRAINING AREA.***

Pistol 

  1. Trigger Control At Speed, 10 reps
  2. Draws, 10 reps (Goal: 1.2 sec)
  3. Reloads, 5 reps (Goal: 1.5 sec)
  4. Reloading on the Move, 10 reps
    • Setup: see diagram above
    • Start in Shooting Position A, on the buzzer, draw and engage T1 with 2 rounds, reload while moving to SP B, and engage T2 with 2 rounds
    • Alternate starting in both shooting positions

Rifle 

  1. Slow Fire Trigger Control, Kneeling (simulated 25 yards), 10 reps
  2. Ready-ups (Low), 10 reps (Goal: 0.8 sec)
  3. Reload Micro Drill 2, 5 reps (Goal: 0.5 sec)
    • Start with the magazine at the magwell entrance, on the buzzer insert the magazine and obtain a sight picture 
  4. Reloads, 5 reps (Goal: 2.5 sec)
  5. Reloading on the Move, 10 reps
