Wednesday, 6/5/24 – Defender Session

***BEFORE STARTING ANY DRYFIRE TRAINING, DOUBLE & TRIPLE CHECK THAT YOUR GUNS & MAGAZINES ARE EMPTY. NO LIVE AMMO SHOULD BE IN YOUR TRAINING AREA.***

Pistol

  1. Trigger Control At Speed, 10 reps
  2. Aim in from the low ready (SHO), 10 reps  (Goal: 0.8 sec)
  3. Reloads, 5 reps (Goal: 1.5 sec)
  4. Double Blake Drill (Free/WHO), 10 reps (Goal: 7.0 sec)
    • Setup: see diagram above
    • Perform a standard Blake Drill (2 rounds per target), Reload, transition to Weak Hand Only and perform another Blake Drill

Rifle

  1. Trigger Control At Speed, 10 reps
  2. Ready-ups (90-Degree), 10 reps (Goal: 1.0 sec)
    • Start with your body turned 90-degrees to the right with the rifle in either the low or high ready, on the buzzer turn and establish a sight picture on the target
    • Alternate starting facing left and right
  3. Reloads, 5 reps (Goal: 2.5 sec)
  4. Double Blake Drill (Goal: 6.3 sec)
    • Perform a Blake Drill, reload, then perform another Blake Drill
