Friday, 6/14/24 – Defender Session

***BEFORE STARTING ANY DRYFIRE TRAINING, DOUBLE & TRIPLE CHECK THAT YOUR GUNS & MAGAZINES ARE EMPTY. NO LIVE AMMO SHOULD BE IN YOUR TRAINING AREA.***

Pistol

  1. Trigger Control At Speed, 10 reps
  2. Turning Draws (Uprange), 10 reps (Goal: 1.4 sec)
    • Begin facing uprange, on the buzzer draw while turning around, obtain an acceptable sight picture
  3. Reloads, 5 reps (Goal: 1.5 sec)
  4. Designated Target (SHO), 10 reps
    • Setup: see diagram above
    • On the buzzer, Draw Strong Hand Only and engage the center steel target (S1) with 1 round, then engage T1 with 2 rounds, return back to S1, then engage T2, and so on until you’ve engaged T1-T4, end the string by engaging S1 with 1 round.

Rifle 

  1. Slow Fire Trigger Control, Kneeling (simulated 25 yards), 10 reps
  2. Ready-ups (High), 10 reps (Goal: 0.8 sec)
  3. Reloads, 5 reps (Goal: 2.5 sec)
  4. Designated Target, 10 reps
