Saturday, 6/15/24 – Defender Session

***BEFORE STARTING ANY DRYFIRE TRAINING, DOUBLE & TRIPLE CHECK THAT YOUR GUNS & MAGAZINES ARE EMPTY. NO LIVE AMMO SHOULD BE IN YOUR TRAINING AREA.***

Pistol

  1. Slow Fire Trigger Control (simulated 25 yards), 10 reps
  2. Stepping Draws, 10 reps (Goal: 1.3 sec)
    • Reload the gun while taking 1 step in various directions like you’re standing in the middle of a clock
  3. Reloads, 5 reps (Goal: 1.5 sec)
  4. Reloading on the Move, 10 reps
    • Setup: see diagram above
    • Start in Shooting Position A, on the buzzer, draw and engage T1 with 2 rounds, reload while moving to SP B, and engage T2 with 2 rounds
    • Alternate starting in both shooting positions


Rifle

  1. Trigger Control At Speed, 10 reps
  2. Ready-ups (Uprange), 10 reps (Goal: 1.3 sec)
    • Begin facing uprange, on the buzzer turn around and obtain an acceptable sight picture
  3. Reloads, 5 reps (Goal: 2.5 sec)
  4. Reloading on the Move, 10 reps
