Sunday, 6/16/24 – Competitor Session

Use your Competition Belt or Duty/Battle Belt. Use today to make up a session if you missed one earlier in the week or focus on skills/drills that you struggled with the most. The warm-up provided below is an example of a short session you can use prior to shooting at a match or qualification. It’s good to have a comfortable routine that you can use prior to an event that has added stress.

Pistol Warm-up

  1. Trigger Control at Speed, 10 reps each
    • SHO
    • WHO
    • Freestyle
  2. Draws, 10 reps each
    • SHO
    • WHO
    • Freestyle
  3. Reloads, 10 reps
  4. Blake Drill, 10 reps each
    • Freestyle 
    • SHO 
    • WHO

Rifle Warm-up

  1. Trigger Control At Speed, 10 reps
  2. Ready-ups, 10 reps each
    • Low Ready
    • High Ready
    • Headbox (pay attention to Height-Over-Bore)
  3. Reloads, 10 reps
  4. Blake Drill, 10 reps
