Wednesday, 6/26/24 – Defender Session

***BEFORE STARTING ANY DRYFIRE TRAINING, DOUBLE & TRIPLE CHECK THAT YOUR GUNS & MAGAZINES ARE EMPTY. NO LIVE AMMO SHOULD BE IN YOUR TRAINING AREA.***

Pistol

  1. Trigger Control At Speed, 10 reps
  2. Draws, 10 reps (Goal: 1.5 sec)
  3. Pause Reloads, 10 reps
    • Set a par time for 0.5 seconds ABOVE your average reload time
    • Aim in at the target, on the buzzer conduct the first half of the reload and pause with the magazine at the magwell entrance, on the second beep (the end of the par time) insert the magazine and obtain an acceptable sight picture
  4. Criss Cross, 10 reps (Goal: 10.0 sec)

Rifle

  1. Trigger Control At Speed, 10 reps
  2. Ready-up (90-Degree Turn), 10 reps (Goal: 1.0 sec)
    • Start with your body turned 90-degrees to the right with the rifle in either the low or high ready, on the buzzer turn and establish a sight picture on the target
    • Alternate starting facing left and right
  3. Reloads, 5 reps (Goal: 2.5 sec)
  4. Criss Cross, 10 reps (Goal: 7.5 sec)
